BUILDING COMMUNITIES OF GOSPEL-CENTERED PEOPLE
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We hope as you read you will get a glimpse of the life and joy we have as a church family. It is a joy of knowing that God has saved us from our sins through Jesus, His son.
Maybe you are searching for answers to the big questions of life or maybe you are searching for a church home. No matter what your situation, we desire to help you.
Please let us know how we can serve you.
1. WE'VE BEEN TRANSFORMED BY GOD’S LOVE.
You will hear us talk about the Gospel at CTR. That is because we are amazed at the love God has demonstrated for us through
the death of Jesus Christ in our place. We are guilty of sin and deserving of punishment from God, but instead He showed us mercy.
We want to continue to grow in our understanding and amazement at God’s grace. This is what brings us together and makes us God’s family.
This good news is the message that we want to spread to Spokane and to the whole world.
2. WE'RE BUILDING OUR LIVES ON THE BIBLE.
We find our direction as a church and as individuals in God’s Word. We believe the Holy Scriptures are inspired by God and infallible.
That is why faithful, biblical preaching and teaching is a priority at CTR.
We want all our members from the youngest to the oldest – to be growing in their knowledge of God through the study and application of his Word. We desire through our internship program to raise up a new generation of Christian preachers.
Through our annual Workshop on Biblical exposition we seek to encourage pastors from other churches in their task as preachers.
3. WE’RE COMMITTED TO VIBRANT RELATIONSHIPS.
Through our weekly Growth Groups; children and youth groups; women’s and men’s bible study groups and monthly members prayer groups
we desire to encourage each other to apply God’s Word and grow to be more like Jesus in dependence upon the Holy Spirit.
These groups act as a primary place of pastoral care at CTR. Following the formal meeting time on Sunday’s, we hope you will meet new and old friends over donuts and coffee in the basement!
4. WE DESIRE TO PLANT NEW CHURCHES.
Even as you consider being part of our church home we hope that you will also prayerfully consider partnering with us in the planting of new congregations both here in Spokane and throughout the world, especially amongst unreached people groups. Together we support people and ministries locally and throughout the world who are spreading the good news about Jesus.
