Men's Ministry at CTR

This ministry is committed to helping men better serve Christ and his Kingdom. 

To this end we offer several opportunities for teaching and fellowship --

Men's Morning Groups

Saturday

Every Saturday morning in CTR's fireside room, a group of men gather to reflect on the Word, share their thoughts and ideas, and pray together.  It's a profitable and encouraging time that runs from 6:30 to 8 am.  All men are welcome!

Weekday Morning Groups

Weekday mornings there are men's fellowship groups that meet in member's homes to study, share, reflect and pray with one another.  These groups run from 6 to 7 am, are fueled by coffee and the Word, and tend to result in close, accountable relationships.  If you think you are man enough, please join us!

  • Two Wednesday Morning Groups -- One meets at Brian Jensen's home (863-2500) and one meets at Carey Hughes' home (Contact: 458.0556)

Men's Retreat

Each fall the men of CTR take off for a weekend of fun, fellowship and Bible study.  We generally have a guest speaker host sessions on an issue relevant to our role as Christian men.  Past speakers have included Bill Farley, speaking on his book Gospel Powered Parenting, and Kent Hughes, speaking on his book Disciplines of a Godly Man. 

The weekend will also include a number of optional activities:

  • Putt Putt Golf
  • Flag Football
  • Basketball
  • Various dangerously competitive board games
  • Drinking coffee
  • Playing more board games
  • Hiking
  • Eating
  • Drinking more coffee
  • Extreme Napping

Men of the Word

Men, do you want to know God's Word better?  Do you want to discover the best resources for studying God's Word?  Do you want help in how to lead your family in biblical devotions?  How about help in having devotions yourself?  If so, make sure to set aside the first Monday night of each month to meet and discuss how to better be "Men of the Word".  7 to 8pm in the Reilly Ministry Library.   Questions or
