Food is Love!

Whatever the reason for disruption in someone's life, be it the joyful arrival of a baby, or surgery, or extraordinarily difficult trials, taking them a meal is a tangible expression of love and refreshment.  As Proverbs 11:25 says, "He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."

How does Christ the Redeemer's Meal Ministry work?

When we learn of a situation where meals may be needed, the head of the meal ministry contacts the individual/family to assess the extent of their needs, food allergies and preferences, and the best time to deliver meals.  Then, she emails/calls the list of meal ministry volunteers, informing them of the need and the days meals are needed.  This wonderful group jumps at the chance to love with FOOD, so it is uncommon for the need to not be met within a couple of days.

That said, the Meal Ministry is always looking for more folks to share love from their kitchen!  It would be such a blessing for this ministry to expand, so that more of our church family can savor the fruits of loving one another with FOOD.  If you are interested in joining the Meal Ministry contact list, call us at 509.328.8700 or email at info@christredeemer.com -- and just be ready to be refreshed as you refresh others.
