What is a Disciple?

A disciple of Christ actively pursues growing in love, obedience, and knowledge in order to partner in God's mission, with God's People, for God's glory.

In our adult education ministries, our aim is to fulfill both the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). We pursue this vision through courses that balance instruction of Scripture, Christian Doctrine, and Spiritual Disciplines—all offered within an environment of humility and mutual care for one another's growth in Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25).

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

There are many ways to be built up as a disciple of Jesus Christ at CTR. The following adult ministries will focus on Bible, Doctrine, and/or Practice. All courses feature engaging, discussion-based instruction in a supportive community that fosters deep reflection, with some courses encouraging the completion of meaningful outside assignments and study.
